The fire department was called to The Golden Corral on Central Avenue over the weekend after one of the managers at the restaurant smelled an odd odor.  The building had to be evacuated early Sunday morning while the Midway Fire Department investigated the building.  National Grid was also on the scene.

According to the restaurant's owner, Niral Patel, the problem has been identified as something to do with the hot water heaters.  The issue has been fixed and once National Gride gives the okay, the Golden Corral will re-open.

The Golden Corral is located at 1901 Central Avenue in Colonie.
