It seems like there is a Dunkin' Donuts on every street corner in the Capital Region. Not that that's a bad thing. I love a vanilla-cream powdered donut from time-to-time....ok maybe more than I should.

Anyway, I digress. Like most restaurants and retailers in the area, Dunkin' Donuts was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. They had to close down their dining rooms, layoff employees, reduce selections, and implement a bunch of new safety guidelines in response to COVID-19.

Luckily, Dunkin Donuts like a lot of fast-food restaurants have been able to keep operating through the drive-thru window and delivery options. So they haven't been hit as hard as other businesses and they seem to be bouncing back quicker than some.

With the unemployment rate at 13.3% according to data Friday from the Labor Department. www.cnbc.com It's nice to see the job market starting to bounce back as we enter Phase Three, in the upcoming weeks, here in the Capital Region.

Dunkin' Donuts has just launched its first hiring advertising campaign to hire up to 25,000 new Dunkin' employees.
