Mikel Jollett from The Airborne Toxic Event Talks About The New Album and Memoir
ALT 103-5's Steve Richards talks to Mikel Jollett the lead man of The Airborne Toxic Event about the new album and memoir "Hollywood Park". The album comes out on May 22 via Rounder Records and the memoir will be out on May 26. The album is the Los Angeles- based band's sixth LP and first new music in six years.
Jollett talks about betting the ponies and learning fractions at the Hollywood Park racetrack in California with his late father.
In the book Hollywood Park: A Memoir, Jollett talks about his incredible personal journey, from his early childhood which included living in one one of the most infamous cults of the 1970s, through a childhood of poverty and emotional abuse.
The Airborne Toxic Event were scheduled to perform at The Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on June 17, that show will be rescheduled to 2021 with a date TBA soon.
