At approximately 1:00 on Friday morning a man showed up at the hospital, with a gun shotgun. Today two men have been arrested as a result of the shooting.

Today officers with the Schenectady Police Department announced that they have arrested two suspects in connection to the March 12 shooting incident in Schenectady.

According to the Daily Gazette, Officers say that a gunfight erupted in the area of Henry St., in the Steinmetz Homes complex. The gunfight left one man injured.

Officers say that 26-year old James Mason III arrived at the Albany Medical Center Hospital for treatment for his gunshot wound injury.

Officers investigated the incident and discovered that the fight was as a result of a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed that James Mason III used a semi-automatic handgun in an attempt to shoot 22-year old Tysharon Walker.
Mr. Walker returned fire and struck Mr. Mason who sustained a non-life-threatening injury.

James Mason III continues to recover and the Albany Medical Center Hospital. He was charged with Criminal Use of a Weapon ( Felony); Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Felony) and Assault (Felony). He was arraigned at his bedside and scheduled for another date on March 31. If convicted of all these charges Mr. Mason could receive a sentence of 72 years in jail

Tysharon Walker turned himself in yesterday. He was arrested and charged with the Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Felony); He was also released pending a court date on March 31. If convicted Mr. Walker could be sentenced to four years in jail.
